What Dependability Means to Us
Interacting with Crossconnect is a consistent, reliable experience. We will be available in the ways we publish; from having the office staffed during business hours, answering our phones every time they ring, and responding to emails promptly. We will back one another up when needed, and if someone is unable to perform their duties, this should be transparent to the customer. The customer experience will have the same ‘feel’ from engagement to engagement, regardless of the engineer they are working with.
What Creativity & Innovation Means to Us
Crossconnect’s competition, particularly in the Value Added Reseller (VAR) space, looks to “canned” products for solutions. Crossconnect does not see the technology world in black & white. We encourage our engineers to write their own middleware and API-centric software to create new solutions. We will use APIs and other integrations to mix products to create an ideal fit to the customer requirement.
We will also, in a safe and reliable manner, “push the envelope” with existing solutions. Existing tools can be adapted for new uses, those outside the original intention of the OEM. With that, we don’t need to “reinvent the wheel”. Favor simple solutions over complex ones, when simple solutions both meet the requirement and are already available.
What Expertise Means to Us
Crossconnect will hire subject matter experts (SMEs) in its focus areas. Crossconnect’s SMEs have a natural love for technology. An ideal Crossconnect technical employee would learn technology whether or not they had a job in technology. Continuing education – keeping up with the latest industry technologies – is a must at Crossconnect. Engineers keep their skills sharp through a mix of self-study, knowledge transfer, on-the-job-learning, and certifications.
What Dedication Means to Us
Crossconnect believes no problem is too difficult to be solved. Our customers need their technology solutions to work reliably. Our engineers will willingly “take a problem to the next level” to solve it. Is the standard tool used to solve a problem not working? Our engineers will build labs, take samples, and completely rebuild systems in order to get to the bottom of an issue. When working in our focus areas, never will a Crossconnect engineer say “this is beyond our team”, “we can’t figure this out”, or recommend the client call the manufacturer as an escalation. Crossconnect engineers, as a group, will stay on customer problems until they are solved. This sometimes means working late and “going the extra mile”.

The Beginning
- Crossconnect Engineering founded by Jeff Kronlage
Expansion and New Services
- Moved into the first office space and hired the first two employees.
- Began offering outsourced escalation support for high-end, complex Cisco issues.
- Launched the Managed Services Practice.
Big Milestones
- Became an official Cisco Partner.
- Secured the first major sale: a quarter-million dollar Cisco SMARTnet deal.
Growth in Expertise and Services
- Expanded the managed services portfolio by adding Cisco Call Manager.
- Grew the engineering team to five members, with four engineers holding CCIE certifications.
Cisco Gold Partner Status
- Began extensive preparations for the Cisco Gold Partner audit.
- Achieved Cisco Gold Partner status, the highest recognition in the networking industry by 2017
Expansion & a New Office
- Expanded the sales team with three new members.
- Relocated to a new, state-of-the-art office in northern Colorado Springs, CO.
Expanding Expertise & Partnerships
- Added full-time staff for a dedicated Microsoft Services Practice.
- Established a full-time Programming & Integration Practice.
- Became a certified partner of Palo Alto Networks and Microsoft.
- Earned partner status with Fortinet and HPE.
Global Expansion & Innovative Solutions
- Launched the Terraform Practice.
- Opened the LATAM Division in Bogota, Colombia.
- Co-designed and sold the highest altitude Meraki installation in the continental U.S.
- Expanded operations, actively serving clients in 35 states and 3 countries
Earned Elite Palo Alto Networks Certifications & Expanded Partners
- Achieved Palo Alto Certified Professional Services Partner Specialization, becoming one of only a handful of certified partners in the U.S.
- Earned Palo Alto Prisma SASE Authorization.
- Earned Partner Status with Nutanix.
